Eurotunnel

Eurotunnel Overview

Eurotunnel is the only operator that provides undersea transport link between UK and France through the Channel tunnel consisting of a sturdy structure of twin rail tunnels and a service tunnel.

The Channel tunnel is the longest of its kind in the world and since its opening in 1994, it has carried millions of passengers, their cars and freight vehicles across the Dover straits at exceptional speed and frequency and more importantly in all weather conditions that no other form of transport has offered so far. Eurotunnel is also the most environment friendly transport across the Channel.

Eurotunnel onboard services

Travelling with Eurotunnel is as simple as it can be, you just need to drive on and drive off the Eurotunnel shuttle with clear indications from the terminal staff. You can either remain in the car for the rest of the journey or can get out of the car but there is only room enough to stretch your legs.

There is no seating area in Eurotunnel trains which of course is appropriate to the type and duration of the journey. Visual display screens within the shuttle provide information about the progress of the journey and Eurotunnel staff onboard are also happy to assist with any queries.
